Michele Loker started at America\u2019s Preferred Home Warranty (APHW) in August 2019, both as a brand-new Area Sales Manager and in a brand-new APHW territory. After rocking that for about 6 months, APHW promoted her to a Senior Virtual Sales Manager training position. Suffice it to say, she\u2019s had quite a ride breaking barriers and taking names!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Taking the Leap<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\u201cI loved the challenge of having a completely new territory,\u201d Michele said, adding that over 25 years in the real estate industry contributed to her success. But Michele was quick to recognize her colleagues as well. \u201cEveryone in this company was just such a tremendous help! There\u2019s no one that I can\u2019t just pick up the phone and ask a question of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, APHW customers choosing their own licensed contractors made a good selling point. \u201cEvery time I mention it to an agent, I just pause and their jaw drops,\u201d Michele said. \u201cI knew it would be a big hit to get me started.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4><strong>A Greater Challenge<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Building a territory from the ground up certainly kept her busy, but this is a woman who leaps at opportunity. \u201cI have a background in real estate training, and I overheard a conversation about a new training role,\u201d Michele said. So she leapt, applied, and gained the position. \u201cNow I\u2019m responsible for a virtual training world to train new real estate agents in all the ways APHW can help build their business,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I first hired in, I saw the opportunities to come with the growth of the company. Having that opportunity right now is just amazing, and I truly feel that they know who you are here\u2014you\u2019re not just a number, or just an employee.
